A classic, subtly oaked white from Southern Burgundy. The Chardonnay vines for this Mâcon-Verzé Blanc were planted between 1993 and 2014, in clay-limestone soils with some marl. The domaine is in conversion to organic farming and also uses some biodynamic practices. Grapes were hand harvested, pressed, and the wine was then fermented with natural yeasts before being left on its lees in a combination of vats and old oak casks for 8-12 months.
Generous and broad, with fresh yellow apple, a pleasing savoury aspect and a touch of baking spice.
ABV 13.5%
